Terms of Service

Searchly is built to eliminate the information asymmetry and inflated pricing commonly experienced by expats and travelers in Hanoi. Under our verification framework:

• Hand-Checked Standards: Every vendor marked as “Verified” or “Searchly Confirmed” has been visited, price-checked, or evaluated for reliable service and English-friendly communication.
• Fair Price Benchmark: Listed price ranges represent transparent local rates. Verified partners agree not to charge unfair tourist markups.
• Independent Operators: While we vet partner merchants rigorously, vendors operate as independent businesses. Searchly serves as the matchmaking and curation technology platform.

When booking services or ordering items on Searchly:

• Order Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate delivery addresses, pickup locations, and active contact numbers (Zalo/WhatsApp/Phone).
• Payments: Searchly does not take payments at the moment. You pay the business directly, and any arrangement you make is between you and that business.
• Cancellations: Booking cancellations should be made with reasonable advance notice. Repeat unexcused cancellations or fraudulent orders may result in account suspension.

Searchly utilizes artificial intelligence (“Ask Searchly”) powered by external foundation models (including Google Gemini through the Lovable AI Gateway and Groq) to deliver real-time recommendations, fair pricing benchmarks, lease summaries, and language translation.

• Informational Guidance Only: Searchly AI is an assistive reference tool, not a licensed law firm, registered immigration agent, banking institution, or certified medical practitioner. Suggestions regarding visas, temporary residence cards (TRC), rental contracts, or banking procedures do not constitute formal legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. Always consult certified professionals and official government agencies.
• AI Output Accuracy & Hallucinations: Generative AI may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date information. Searchly disclaims any liability for decisions, bookings, or expenses incurred based solely on automated AI responses.
• Data Transmission to AI Services: By asking questions or submitting prompts, you explicitly authorize Searchly to transmit your inquiry, contextual chat history, and approximate geolocation to our contracted third-party AI model providers. You agree never to transmit confidential credentials, credit card details, or full passport numbers into AI prompts.
• AI Page Translation: Our on-screen page translator uses the same AI providers to render the interface in your chosen language. Translated wording can be wrong, awkward, or miss local nuance; prices, phone numbers, addresses, and business names are kept in their original form. For anything that matters — money, contracts, medical, or visa details — always check the English original before acting on it.

If you access Searchly via our mobile applications downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:

• Store Terms Acknowledgment: You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Searchly only, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple and Google are not responsible for the application or its content.
• License Grant: We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the application strictly in accordance with these Terms and applicable App Store / Google Play rules.
• User Safety & Moderation: Pursuant to Apple App Store Guideline 1.2 and Google Play safety policies, Searchly implements content moderation, in-app reporting, and blocking features. Any user engaging in abusive or unlawful behavior will face immediate account termination.
